Together with federal and non-federal partners including the cooperation with Advisory on Historic Preservation was a national summit led by Laura Bush, the first lady of that time (2007). This marks the 40th anniversary of the National Preservation Act of '66.
The focus was made on the achievements reached in the past and new ways were suggested for the future.
The public comment time is of course closed already but these comments were accepted until January '07. The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation have four or more meetings each year. The comments will be taken into consideration on the next meeting.
